Impact for Change, ‘a small family run organisation’ all our homes are graded as ‘Good’ by Ofsted.

We are currently recruiting for both part time and full time positions at our home just outside of Tiverton.

The positions advertised will require successful applicants to work shifts which will often include a sleep in as well as work over some weekends, following a rolling rota.

Ideally, we are looking for individuals who are qualified within Childrens Residential Care but are keen to hear from individuals who may have a range of experience in working with children, including early years and education. Due to the location of our homes, it is essential that you hold a driver's license.

Salary is dependent upon experience and qualifications and pro rata.

**Salary**: £21,673.60 per year based on full time equivalent, additional accruements are added in relation to sleep ins at £83.36 per night.

Representative Salary when including sleep in from 80 - 120 per annum, £32,173.80 - £35,508.20

**Qualifications**:
Due to the position being advertised:

- Level 3 or 4 Residential Childcare Diploma or a commitment to complete.
- Working knowledge of safeguarding.
- Experience of PACE or Trauma Informed Practice or Play Therapy.
- Provide safe professional care to children to ensure they are supported and guided to develop positive relationships and aid their emotional; social; behavioural; physical and intellectual growth.
- Create and produce activities to occupy and develop children and young people to ensure that they gain skills and education in line with their identified needs.
- Define structures and boundaries for children and young people so they understand behaviour expected.
- Communicate and act to promote teamwork and ensure high standards of service delivery in accordance with the best interests of children and young people.
- Build and create positive relationships based on mutual trust and respect with children and young people to ensure that they develop and grow in line with their identified needs.
- Be willing and able to be responsible for own professional competency.
- Fully participate and engage in any training or supervision put in place to develop professional competencies.
- To assist in creating opportunities, within and outside the home for children and young people to learn and develop from.
- Embrace and deliver service provision in-line with the ethos of Impact for Change.
- Have high aspirations for individual professionalism and the children and young people under our care.
- Be engaged and willing to instil any environmental, social or charity-based event put forward by Impact for Change.
- Complete, maintain and supply documentation to ensure relevant information is accurately recorded, in line with company procedures and compliance with statutory and contractual requirements.
- Ensure own and, when appropriate, other’s actions reduce risks to health and safety in compliance with statutory legislation and company policy.
- To provide a safe and secure environment for the care and support of children and young people ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures in place to meet our statutory and contractual requirements
- Undertake an average of 8-10 sleep ins per month.
- Work in line with any therapeutic intervention put in place for children and young people
