Machinist Toolmaker

Fitzbionics Ltd, who manufacture custom implants for Fitzpatrick Referrals, is looking to expand its team with an additional machinist/toolmaker.

The role’s primary duty will be to manufacture component parts from engineering drawings and/or verbal instructions given by the design team, using manual turning and milling machines as well as 3-axis CNC machines equipped with post-processing software for 3D complex geometry. You will be required to perform manufacturing tasks and assist the team in controlling daily workload and perform other associated tasks as and when deemed necessary. You will be encouraged to get involved with all aspects of the production from material handling, production, finishing, cleaning and packaging and expected to look after the equipment to ensure we produce consistent and top-quality products.

In addition, you will have the willingness to learn and develop as a highly-skilled orthopaedic implant manufacturing engineer and be care-driven with a high attention to detail. You must possess strong communication skills, thrive on being part of a team and be someone who enjoys the practical side of engineering, bringing design concepts to life.

This is a full-time role, working a 40-hour week based in the workshop in Hemel Hempstead.
