**Role Overview**

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, qualified surveyor to become involved in providing advice to clients across the UK on a range of energy and infrastructure technologies, including onshore wind, solar PV and energy storage. The role offersgreat variety and will encompass a diverse spectrum of work including the negotiation of option and lease documentation for proposed renewable energy and energy storage projects, strategic site search and evaluation for a range of clients across the UK.
- Representing property owners in promoting sites for renewable energy development opportunities
- Working with clients’ solicitors to agree on terms for option and lease agreements for renewable energy projects, access or cable rights
- Assisting renewable energy developers to build their pipeline of renewable energy projects by identifying and securing sites
- Potential for involvement in the valuation, acquisition and disposal of renewable energy assets
- Working with colleagues to assess renewable energy opportunities on clients’ property portfolios
- Building strong relationships with clients and reporting to them professionally
- Policy analysis and research of key technologies/sectors
- Report writing
- Develop and leverage opportunities from the contact network
- Be able to travel and attend meetings across the UK and Ireland

**Key Skills**

**-**Experience in the renewable energy sector (desirable but not essential)
- Literate with GIS and Mapping tools
- Highly competent and skilled with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Clear written and verbal communication style
- Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to consider commercial aspects of a project
- Confident and professional appearance and approach
- Good communication skills and being a team player
- Flexible worker - willing to travel
- Good negotiating skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
- Ability to build rapport with a variety of people from different backgrounds
- Exercise confidentiality and discretion at all times
- Excellent client care skills and the ability to prioritise work
- A good understanding of the UK renewable energy market
- The ability to manage time effectively, prioritising tasks to ensure deadlines are met
- A proactive approach to work and a willingness to get involved in departmental policy and strategy by putting forward ideas
- A willingness to undertake business development on behalf of the department, wider team and the company and raise Savills’ profile besides their personal profile outside the company
- Experience in a similar role is essential
- Full driving licence and own car
