Dorchester, United Kingdom Dorset Reading Partners Full time

Dorset Reading Partners is a Dorchester-based charity that helps children discover a love of reading, with a firm emphasis on making reading fun. We are looking for someone special to join our small staff team and help us look after our volunteer reading partners who provide quality tailored support to children in primary schools right across the county.

This **term-time-only** position would ideally suit someone with a background in education who is able to work flexibly across the week. For the right individual this could be the perfect opportunity to fit a rewarding job around your lifestyle.

The role of Volunteer Coordinator is interesting and varied, and involves local travel. The post holder will make regular visits to reading partners in schools as well as helping to deliver a programme of training, workshops, and support meetings to ensure that we are providing the best possible service to our volunteers, children and schools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, together with an approachable manner.
- A good level of education
- An interest in literacy and children's books
- The ability and confidence to interact within the school community in a professional manner.
- Good self-organisation and ability to plan and use time effectively.
- The ability to work independently and, equally, to contribute as part of a team.
- The ability to work flexibly to meet service needs.
- Use of a car.

If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you
