**ROLE - Mechanical Design Engineer**
**SALARY - £35,000 - £50,000, dependent on experience**
**TYPE - Permanent**
**LOCATION - Buckinghamshire**
My client specialises in Automation in the Manufacturing sector. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in the Buckinghamshire area on a permanent basis.
**The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes**:

- HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified or similar in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Design or similar
- At least 2 years’ experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient with using 3D CAD - SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor or similar
- Knowledge of automated systems, conveyors, SPM etc.
- Able to manage projects and work to deadlines and budgets
- Experienced working to customer specifications and altering designs based on requirements
- Able to maintain technical documentation and BOM entry
- Knowledge of different materials such as sheet metal fabrication
- Innovative, accurate and passionate about design
- Be technically minded with a head for problem solving
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills
- Able to work well individually as well as part of a team

**The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve**:

- Being responsible for the Design and Development of various automation solutions
- Using Inventor 3D CAD software for design on a day-to-day basis
- Developing ideas from concept to production
- Liaising with clients and developing solutions for design specifications
- Collaborating with different departments to ensure the smooth delivery of projects
- Maintaining technical drawings and documentation
- Providing technical guidance and support
- Supporting product Testing, Verification & Validation
