Stevedore

Overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team of stevedores. As an stevedore, you will be responsible for the safe handling of cargo during vessel discharge operations. All of which must be done in a safe and considerate manner.

All necessary training will be provided. You will be expected to comply with and promote all site Health and Safety rules.

**Responsibilities**:

- To promote and maintain a safe working environment at all times
- To wear all the site safety uniform supplied.
- Adhere to all site safety rules.
- To assist in the safe discharge of Cargo.
- To assist in the safe re-handling of Cargo.
- To repair damaged Cargo packaging as and when required.
- Undergo any training that the company deems necessary for you to for-fill your role safely and efficiently.
- Liaison with the team leaders and supervisors daily.
- Professional appearance and attitude at all times.

**Skills**:

- Proactive health and safety ethos.
- You must have a basic understanding of the English language.
- Trained mobile crane signaller. (Training will be provided)
- Checkable work history.
- Reliable with excellent time keeping and work ethic.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to offer Flexible working hours, including some weekends.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: From £11.68 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
