My Client, a family run pub in Knebworth, is looking for a new, experienced Sous Chef to join their team. Set in the beautiful countryside of Hertfordshire, with an option of live in too

**Location: Knebworth

**Salary**: £28,000 - £30,000 depending on experience plus a generous share of tips
Live in available
Hours: 45 per week, 5 days per week with every Sunday night off.**

**The role:**
- Help in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus
- Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise
- Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
- Fill in for the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
- Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performance
- Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately

**Experience and skills required:**
- A minimum of 1 years of experience as a Chef
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Must have people management experience
