**Role**: Support Worker (Young People)

**Location**: Gobowen, Shropshire

**Rate of Pay**: PS14 - PS15 per hour (PS60 block payment for Sleep in)*

**Shift Pattern**:
8am to 11pm

11pm to 8am (sleep-in)

11pm to 8am (wake nights, if required)

You will need to be flexible to cover all shifts, days, nights & weekends.

24-hour contract plus overtime whilst on probation, which will be a 6-month period.

We also do terms and conditions contracts which are 0 hours.

Nurtured Future Supported Living is a Health and Social Care Company that provides care and support for young people across England & Wales.

We are looking for compassionate, enthusiastic, flexible and caring people to assist young people with their transition to become as independent as possible, providing up to 24 hours of support. You will join a devoted team of support workers, providing care for vulnerable children and young people (16+) in a supported semi-independent solo setting. **What is a day for a Nurtured Future Supported Living Support Worker?**
- To act as a positive role model
- Support in a structure-rich environment, being consistent and nurturing
- Assisting young people to become as independent as possible
- Monitoring and educating the young people we support
- Supporting day-to-day activities to help build their social and emotional skills
- Managing and understanding behaviours of concern and the reason for them
- Awareness of stresses or abuse, monitoring, recording and reporting
- Assistants with budgeting
- Positive engagement is key to encouraging young people's development

**What will we expect from you?**
- A support worker with an excellent understanding of safeguarding
- Well-written and comprehensive record keeping
- A support worker with a flexible work ethic
- Preferred - Driver with full UK driving licence
- Preferred - NVQ/Diploma or equivalent in Children & Young people

*** _contracts state that we will pay for their initial DBS check after that it is their responsibility to either join the update service or pay for a new certificate upon renewal date (every 2 years)._
