**Software Engineer - £90,000 - £100,000 per annum - London**

**The Role**

We are currently setting up a new branch in London and are looking for a Software Engineer to design and implement new systems and features, as well as modify and maintain existing systems for adaptation to business and/or M&T technology changes.

**Key Responsibilities**

The key responsibilities of a Software Engineer include, but are not limited to:

- Complete and oversee the most complex systems analysis, design and development efforts.
- Provide the highest-level analytical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies to assist the client areas and Bank in meeting their short-term business goals and long-term strategic objectives.
- Prepare and manage the technical component of project plans.
- Prepare and review assessments to include required tasks, estimated time frames and effort for any scope project.
- Recommend new technology, policies, or processes to benefit the organization and improve deficiencies. Lead or participate in technical evaluations of vendor software.
- Assist in developing expense and capital budgets.
- Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and any issues external regulators raise as applicable.
