We're currently looking for a **Senior Investigations Officer** on a full-time permanent basis.

This position sits within the Professional Conduct Department, in our London office (hybrid working available).

**The Job**

The job reports to an Assessment & Investigations Manager. On a day-to-day basis you'll be involved in the following:

- Investigating complaints about professional conduct
- Exercising strong case and time management skills
- Reviewing and assessing documentary evidence
- Drafting witness statements
- Drafting clear and detailed reports of findings and decisions
- Drafting Consent Orders and Reports of Disciplinary Allegations
- Preparing associated bundles for hearings

**The Person**

We're looking for someone who:

- Is a qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience or a minimum of five years of specialist investigatory experience in a regulatory environment
- Has experience of making decisions and articulating their reasons in writing
- Has commercial (e.g. company law) and regulatory awareness (e.g. AML)
- Is confident to research areas of practice they are not familiar with
- Is interested in unravelling (sometimes voluminous) facts and information and identifying the key issues
- Is happy to work autonomously and is self-motivated to progress their own case load in keeping with KPIs
- Is comfortable working remotely
- Is a good team player
- Has experience of conducting investigations within a professional regulatory body
