M2 Education are working on behalf of a number of Schools in the Carlisle area for Qualified Teachers to cover various roles on a temporary day to day basis or longer term placements.

We are recruiting for a good school in the South Lakes area, rated ‘good’ school, we believe in high expectations, excellent teaching and ambition for every young person.

We require a Teacher of ICT and Computer Science to lead the department. ICT and Computer Science. You would be required to teach computer Science Year 7, Year 8 and Computing in Year 9, and teach ICT groups and two Computer Science groups in Year 10 and Year 11.
- Qualified Teacher Status
- A proven track record of successful teaching
- The ability to plan, prepare and deliver lessons to a high standard
- An understanding of the assessment requirements of Computer Science and ICT curriculum at KS3 and GCSE
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work as part of a team

**Responsibilities and requirements**:

- Ability to build rapport with secondary school-age students
- Have the drive and determination to make a difference
- Have high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour
- Be an excellent and inspirational class teacher, who demonstrates outstanding classroom practice and who has children at the heart of all they do
- Be enthusiastic, flexible, creative and ambitious
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of teaching students at KS3 and KS4
- A clear, ambitious vision for ICT/Computer Science education
- You must have the legal right to work in the UK
- You must hold QTS or a recognised teaching qualification
- A Bachelor of Education, PGCE or UK recognised equivalent teaching qualification
- Enhanced DBS Certificate, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
- Two professional reference checks
