Avanti Personnel are recruiting for an experienced Hospitality coordinator for Winlaton area. The successful will be working with a small friendly team and will be expected to be involved with the day-to-day running of catering services, overseeing staff to ensure standards are consistently met, and driving achievement of the highest levels of visitor satisfaction.

The role requires a positive and flexible approach with the ability to operate effectively in a fast paced customer environment. In addition, the role will require weekend working and some evening working.

**About you**

We are seeking someone who is outgoing and enthusiastic, with proven experience of customer service in a fast paced catering environment. Having supervisory skills is essential as well as being an excellent communicator who is open, honest and acts with integrity. You will be flexible and willing to tackle any task or role assigned to you with a positive attitude.

With a passion for food and delivering an excellent service, you will also have knowledge of food safety and health and safety principles.

Operational Duties
- Support the Heritage Centre Coordinator and Commercial Property Manager in the day to day operations of the centre, café, and events ensuring a consistent high quality, professional, service provision to all users.
- To contact relevant suppliers placing stock orders as appropriate for Front of House, retail and the cafe, adhering to agreed policies for purchase ordering, and monitoring balance sheets to ensure orders remain within budget.
- Assisting the Events and Interpretation Coordinator to plan current and relevant seasonal decorations and displays.
- Supervising in the smooth running of events at the Centre.
- Coordination of room hire and meeting room setup.
- Ensure accurate stock records are maintained through regular and detailed stock counting and stock takes.
- To positively respond to customer feedback and, coordinate with the Heritage Centre Coordinator and Commercial Property Manager any new ideas to the service and ensure customer feedback is communicated to the appropriate staff.
- Ensure housekeeping log is completed and Health & Safety folder is updated as required.
- To be responsible for locking up and opening up as required
- As required deputise for the Heritage Centre Coordinator in their absence Finance
- Operate accurate and effective cash handling procedures as set up, maintaining all appropriate records.
- Ensure all transactions are processed correctly. Staff Management
- Assist with the overall programme of recruitment, training and retention of staff in line with Groundwork’s commitment to providing high standards of service.
- Manage the day to day running of the Centre team.
- Ensure the team are completing daily and weekly tasks. Additional responsibilities
- Comply with all of the Trust’s organisational policy and procedures at all times.
- Maintain the integrity of the Groundwork and Heritage Centre brand in all internal and external communications
- Flexible approach to working hours with an ability to work outside normal office hours, to include evenings and weekends as required by the business.

Any other duties commensurate with the level of the post.

Hours of work 35 hours per week
