**About the Special Logistics Transport Planner**:
As our **Special Logistics Transport Planner**, primarily your daily responsibilities will be to take responsibility for the timely and efficient planning of routes and scheduling delivery times to ensure that the customer receives the best service in the most cost-effective manner.

**Responsibilities as our Special Logistics Transport Planner will include**:
- To be responsible for the organisation and the planning of the installation teams and sub-contractors to complete the daily workload.
- To plan the best route for the driver to make maximum deliveries/installs to various locations in a cost-effective manner. This involves managing the installers closely and assigning work in a logical, time-efficient manner, minimising costs and maximising installations.
- To work as part of a team to ensure service levels and communication are to a high standard.
- Ensuring deliveries are planned proactively to reduce/avoid late deliveries and missed time slots.
- Ensuring truck loading dimensions are kept within legal limits.
- Tracking customer orders
- Ensure that the AS400 system is kept up to date about pricing and dimensions
- Effectively communicating with management and the wider team- To be proactive and forthright towards your work.
- Ensure relevant administrative procedures are followed as instructed by your manager.
- To work within the companies’ operational procedures and statutory requirements including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment.
- Contribute towards good teamwork and high standards.
- Always adhere to company policy and procedures.
- Always practice safe working procedures, refrain from horseplay, and report all
- hazards and defective equipment
- Always wear suitable clothing and personal protective equipment if you enter the warehouse/yard areas.
- Inform the First Aider or Appointed Person of all accidents that may occur.
- To assist with housekeeping duties when required.

- Proven working experience working within a Transport/logistics and distribution environment
- Ability to maintain personnel and data confidentiality
- Have an accurate and methodical approach to work.
- Will be able to meet deadlines and prioritise work
- Must have the ability to work flexibly and to make decisions quickly
