**Context**:
We are looking for a Research Assistant, Research Fellow OR Senior Research Fellow to conduct theoretical and experimental research in the design and evaluation of multipartite entanglement distribution protocols in quantum networks.

**About the role**:
The postholder will be expected to take the lead on the on simulation and modelling of the quantum networks studied and work with the other UCL researchers in the project as well as the Optical Networks group.

One post is available at either the Research Assistant (Grade 6B, £37,332 - £39,980 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance), Research Fellow (Grade 7, £42,099 - £50,585 per annum inc. LA) OR Senior Research Fellow (Grade 8, £51,474 - £60,521 per annum inc. LA) level. The post is available immediately for 12 months in the first instance. Further funding to support the post may be available.

**About you**:
Applicants for the Research Assistant position must have an MSc degree in Quantum Physics, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline. Applicants for the Research Fellow or Senior Research Fellow role must have a PhD in Electronic Engineering, Quantum Physics, Computer Science or related discipline (or about to submit a PhD thesis). Alternatively, applicants should possess extensive industrial and/or research experience in quantum networks or quantum computing.

For the Senior Research Fellow level, applicants should show significant post-doctoral experience on research associated with quantum computing and networking. You should have a track record on world-leading scientific publications that have delivered impact (citations, invited talks, exploitation) as first author. Proven multi-team and/or multi-institutional collaborative work and supervision of PhD students are desirable.
