**Your New Role**
Reporting to our Payroll & Benefits Manager, the role of Payroll Advisor is to assist with administering payroll, pension and benefits related tasks for all employees within Laings. An important position that requires an array of competencies and skills to deliver on varied office responsibilities to support our organisation. Our Payroll Advisor position is Glasgow City Centre based, assisting across 37.5 hours a week. O_ffice hours are Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm daily. _
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following**:
- Operate alongside our Payroll & Benefits Manager, administer end-to-end monthly Payroll for all colleagues, including, for example, actioning new starts and leavers, overtime and incentives.
- Assist with Payroll Year End using Sage 50 Payroll, including issuing P60s/P11Ds to all colleagues annually.
- Maintain Payroll records with up-to-date information monthly.
- Creating and maintaining Payroll, Pension and Company Benefits databases.
- Provide guidance and action general payroll queries from both colleagues and any external parties, seeking support from the Payroll & Benefits Manager, where necessary.
- Complete tax code updates and assist colleagues with tax code queries.
- Assist with Company Workplace Pension administration tasks.
- Complete all administration tasks linked to Company Benefits and the online benefits platform.
- Complete all Payroll, Company Benefits and Company Workplace Pension scheme filing of records.
- Any other tasks as reasonably required by the Payroll & Benefits Manager.
**Person Specification**:
- Payroll Administration experience required _(1 to 3 years)._
- Hold knowledge of SAGE 50 Payroll (necessary).
- Must have excellent knowledge of Excel.
- Meticulous attention to detail required.
- Ability to effectively manage and organise time and tasks to the changing needs of the Company.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and ensure deadlines are met.
- Excellent communication, confidentiality and discretion skill set required.
- Able to work independently.
