Working as an Engagement Officer Within the corporate property team means that she gets to meet people from all walks of life within the community supporting the development of positive change, especially being the voice for young people where it matters - in education, training, or employment. Her experiences and her amazing ability to relate to others means that within the first few months of joining our team, she’d already made a huge impact on things like accessibility in the Borough. Tiffeny feels heard and that’s because we know how important it is to listen.

**The Role**:
As a Facilities Management (FM) Apprentice, you can make your own unique contribution to the work we do. As a department, we oversee the implementation of innovative operation plans and programmes that fundamentally improve the performance of Westminster’s asset base. From specialist initiatives, risk assessments and contract management to a variety of other hard and soft contracts, you’ll have the opportunity to learn fast in a multi-disciplined, experienced team whilst working towards a professional qualification.

The split of office and on-site work will vary from week to week, this is to allow you time to focus on necessary course requirements. You’ll spend some days out and about across Westminster, familiarising yourself with our buildings and others completing important everyday office based tasks. Your day-to-day will be enjoyable and varied and you’ll never be short of things to do or learn. From site visits, assisting with tenant fault reporting and speaking with building users to administration requirements, liaising with contractors and assisting with data entry and analysis.

This vital, varied work ensures that we continue to deliver a high quality FM function for the Council through a dynamic, customer-focussed team. Working on complex and significantly sizable contracts, you’ll begin to understand how this diverse team operates in all areas of FM. From cleaning and maintenance to daily checks and security.
