Academics are currently in partnership with a Cheshire East secondary school ('Good Ofsted Rating') who is looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA). Located in Sandbach, this role will commence after the Feberuary half term until the Easterbreak; however the role does have the potential to continue until the end of the academic year.

Responsibilities of a LSA include:

- Providing learning support for learners in a classroom environment in small groups (2-4 students).
- Running specific activities to assist the learner's individual learning and social needs.
- Working as part of the team to ensure that the wellbeing and personal development of the learner enhances their learning opportunities and life skills.
- Providing positive praise and reinforcements to learners.
- Have attained LSA status through the appropriate training or will have previous experience of working with secondary students with diverse learning requirements.
- Have GCSE, 'O' Level or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths, as well as the relevant NVQ2 or equivalent as recognised by the National Occupational Standards for Supporting Teaching and Learning.
- Be aware of the national curriculum and to you will be able to develop content with an enthusiastic approach.
