Cardiographer/departmental Support Worker

To undertake a range of non-invasive cardiology investigations. To give patients clear instruction prior to undertaking procedures. To ensure all patients receive appropriate and individualised care. To maintain standards of technical competency in the provision of all non-invasive technical cardiology procedures.
To process ECG request forms on arrival in the department. To perform the recording of ECGs on adults, paediatrics, outpatients and inpatients in a variety of departments, including NICU, CCC and labour wards as requested. To set up, fit and instruct patients on how to use ambulatory ECG and blook pressure monitors and download recordings to ensure they are ready for analysis. To assist the clinical teams working in echocardiography and CRM to ensure a smooth running of the service, by meaning of preparing patients ready for their clinical investigation. To effectively, promptly and professionally respond to emergency situations, summoning appropriate assistance as necessary by raising the alarm.
