**Job Purpose**:
This position as a Specialist Inspector - Railway Operations, reports to ORR’s Principal Railway Operations Specialist. The role will involve identifying key operational topics for intervention, carrying out inspections, giving expert advice on Railway Operations to colleagues, investigating accidents and potentially providing Expert Witness opinion and statements.
The Railway Operations Specialist will support ORR’s role at a national level with key stakeholders on railway operational issues.

You will be expected to promote the goals of ORR’s strategy of excellence in health, safety and risk control within the operational sector.
