Horse Groom

We are looking for a **special someone** to work at our **Therapetic Animal Farm** and look after amazing ponies and horse.

You must be confident working around horses, be patient, kind, and have a good knowledge of natural horsemanship.

You must enjoy working with children of our abilities and ages and able to pass on your knowledge around the horses

Duties:'''
Groom and care for horses, ensuring their well-being and cleanliness
Feed and water horses according to their specific dietary needs
Clean and maintain horse fields, including removing manure and soiled bedding
Assist with exercising and training horses as directed by the supervisor
Administer basic first aid to horses when necessary
Grooming tasks such as brushing, bathing, and mane/tail trimming

Help farrier/vet/denist when needed

Keep notes on horses care and communicate with the vets, and pass information on to supervisor
Maintain a clean and organized grooming area

Riding or exercising the ponies. Taking the students out on lead rein walks

- Basic math skills for measuring feed portions and administering medication
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as brushes, combs, and hoof picks
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and strenuous tasks related to horse care

You will need to have a good attitude, enjoy being outside in all weather and willing to work in a small friendly team.

**Salary**: £10.00-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
