We have an exciting opportunity to work at #TeamEMR as IT Business Partner. Reporting to the Business Relationship Manager you will be the main point of contact between business functions and the IT support teams, ensuring the IT strategy is translated and understood to support IT productivity.

**About the role**
- The IT Business Partner (ITBP) is responsible for managing the relationship between IT and a specific business function(s) with the aim to understand the specific goals of the function and then translate those needs into technology needs for IT development / implementation.
- The ITBP will then support the Business Relationship manager in the creation of an overall business systems roadmap to drive a digital transformation programme that will enable the business to deliver digital services and enhance operational efficiencies.
- The ITBP will be responsible for ensuring the implementation, development and support of business systems and that these align with the company requirements and digital vision.
- A highly visible role within the business, acting as the interface and conduit between IT, the business user community, Heads of Department, suppliers, EMR PMO and Abellio Group IT on IT and business systems.

**About you**
- Demonstrable extensive experience in managing business systems in a similar business environment
- Preferred qualification in project management : PRINCE2, AGILE
- Aware of ISO standards 27001, 27701, audit & compliance standards, GDPR and security protocols
- Proven experience of delivering IT change in a complex business environment.
- Demonstrable experience of developing cogent and compelling business cases and budgets.
- Strong service orientation, with a flexible can-do approach.
- Good general knowledge of the Railway and associated systems would be preferred but not essential.
- A self-starter, with the ability to operate within a lean HQ environment, with the ability to switch between strategic and operational activities
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills as well as being able to communicate at all levels within a large complex environment.
- Communicating with business colleagues in a language style they are comfortable with avoiding unfamiliar terms and reference, with the ability to translate non-technical requirements into technical specifications and vice versa
- Possess a confident and measured manner with the ability to engage at all levels in the business
- Show initiative and adaptability, with a willingness to tackle and resolve complex challenges or decisions
