**The Role - Transport Supervisor? - Nights**

Reporting to the Transport Manager the Transport Supervisor (nights) will be responsible for around 20 vehicles and 30 drivers. You will be solely responsible for the pick-up of products from sites as efficiently as possible.

Other responsibilities include:

- Coordinating the pickup of product from sites across the UK
- Keeping quality at the foremost of any decision
- Identifying cost savings when they arise
- Planning routes in a cost-effective manor
- Outsourcing work to external logistics companies and managing that relationship
- Looking for efficiencies on every possible occasion.
- Communication with the different sites and customers to ensure a fast turnaround with high levels of customer service.
- Avoiding bottlenecks at sites and spreading the load of returns and reorders.
- Ensuring Health and Safety levels are always high.
- Monitoring 3PL performance.
- Liaising with all relevant internal departments.

6pm - 6am

4 days on - 4 days off

**The Skills Required**

The successful applicant for the Transport Supervisor role will have worked in a similar position before, clearly demonstrated on their CV. They will also have the following skills and experiences:

- Minimum of 2 years in a driver management role.
- A strong understanding of working time directives and drivers’ hours.
- Ability to interpret and use tachograph analysis
- Have planned transport routes in the past
- A highly customer focused attitude.
- Outstanding communication skills
- The ability to make changes to existing ways of working in a confident and positive way.
- Efficient in MS Excel and other Office programs.
- Commutable to Lincoln daily.
