For more than 20 years’ multiple award winner, Vets Now has been developing and perfecting an out-of-hours emergency care service. We provide cover to over 1500 vet practices and have over 60 emergency clinics and specialty referral hospitals across the UK. Vets Now are truly at the cutting edge of pet emergency services.
**About the role**The Senior Internal Comms Executive will report to the Head of Marketing and Employer Brand and work closely with a variety of internal stakeholders across the company. The Senior Internal Comms Executive will deliver our internal communications strategy - transforming this more towards employee engagement - and work closely with the Employer Brand Manager to deliver a joined-up experience for prospective and existing staff.
It is essential that the post holder can engage proactively with internal stakeholders across the organisation to deepen and embed an understanding of Vets Now's purpose, values and culture, and service and consequently drive employee engagement, retention, and advocacy.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Support and roll out the continual improvement & innovation of our internal communications strategy to ensure regular and impactful internal communication which supports our retention objectives.
- Lead in the development of intranet content to engage teams across the company
- Place our people at the heart of our employee engagement activities and gain an in-depth knowledge of our internal audience.
- Lead on ensuring any new activities is evidence-based, running internal research efforts such as menopause focus group, wellness survey, and annual Employee Engagement Survey, and drive action from results that responds to our audience's needs.
- Own an annual calendar of operational communications ensuring all stakeholders feed in and adhere to this.
- Deliver the event management of our annual staff award ceremony - the ‘MAD’ Awards and support our Annual Leader’s Meeting.
- Ensure that our onboarding and inductions support our employer brand and are updated as required.
- Ensure that all staff communications meet our employer brand key messaging, tone of voice, and visual style.
- Work with our clinical team to help scope a better method of sharing clinical knowledge across our clinical teams.
- Support our people services, health and wellbeing, People Strategy Committee, and our operations teams to deliver their objectives and respond to their briefs as required.
- Manage the internal comms budget.
- Keep abreast of internal communications trends and good practices and be at the forefront of digital innovation when it comes to employee engagement.
**The skills and experience we require**:
- At least 5 years experience in marketing, focusing on communication (preferably experience in internal comms).
- Demonstratable success in project and campaign management.
- Experience in driving audience engagement across various channels.
- Previous experience in a marketing communications role.
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics.
- Experience of delivering multi-channel campaigns to drive engagement with a target audience.
- A proven track record in delivering successful direct response and engagement campaigns
- Confident in producing offline marketing materials such as newsletters, posters and experience managing production workflow.
- Ability to plan, manage and produce high quality, premium projects and a methodical approach to this work.
