Hatchery Operative

Joice & Hill Poultry is a leading supplier of day old chicks for egg producers throughout the UK.

We have one full-time position available and are seeking a motivated, flexible and hardworking person, who is able to work well within a team to support the effective and smooth running of our busy hatchery at Peterborough. The position is fast paced and a keen attention to detail is required. This role may be physical and practical skills are required, along with an awareness of health & safety.

Working under the Take-Off Supervisor and closely within the SOP’s and cleaning schedule, the individual is expected to fulfil the below:

- Work as a hatchery operative during the start of the day.
- After the production day has ceased, to clear the room of debris and clean down the Take-Off and Dispatch depending on days.

We offer great rates of pay and training and development. Working hours Monday to Friday consists of early starts and varying finishing times. Additional hours may be worked, including on a Saturday, according to workload on request by the Hatchery Manager.
