RattrayParkin are working with a business in Market Harborough to recruit an experienced and detail-oriented bookkeeper. If you have a passion for numbers and are eager to contribute to the financial success of a growing organisation, this position is for you
You will act as a number two in finance to the Financial Controller and be expected to be office based 2-3 days a week with the rest of time working from home.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Process and track invoices, payments, and expenses.
- Prepare and analyse financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement effective financial processes and controls.
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a bookkeeper/accounts assistant
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Preferably experience using Xero
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards.
Education and Experience:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper/accounts assistant.

**Salary**: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
