Senior Liability Claims Handler

**Senior Liability Claims Handler (Part-time 21 hours per week 2 days) - UK remote** - up to £24,000 per annum plus an excellent benefits package and offering the opportunity to progress and help and support towards Industry qualifications,25 days holiday (pro-rata) plus bank holidays, Healthcare, Pension, Employee wellbeing assistance and Life Assurance.
A global Loss Adjusting organisation who are truly passionate and understanding by offering a flexible working model and by fully embracing and supporting individuals to grow and develop, are now seeking an experienced Liability Claims Handler to join thevastly experienced technical Liability team. Hours - 21 hours per week. This is a technical role where you will carry out virtual client visits investigating Liability losses from your desk. The role will involve EL/PL and Product Liability Injury and ThirdParty Property damage including Product Liability claims, you will also be involved with more specialised areas i.e. Cavity Wall Installation claims. Claims values will vary with a handful of large losses where you will work independently.
**The role**:
- Use your skills and experience within the claims arena to assess indemnity, liability and quantum through to settlement
- Act as a technical referral point to the team of varied level of adjusters from senior to trainees
- Assist with investigations to assess liability/ damage
- Ensure all contact with parties involved in the life cycle of the claims process is clear and concise with a full detailed history of events, actions and quantum assessment
- Undertake litigation management where required
- Work to agreed KPI’s
**About you**:
- Excellent EL/PL, Third Party Property and Products damage claims handling experience
- Good understanding of Insurance law/policy interpretation
- Exceptional investigation skills
- Good understanding of contract, statute and tort law
- Able to co-operate and work well with others in the pursuit of team goals
- The ability to influence attitudes and opinions of others
- Exceptional listening skills and the ability to respond to people effectively
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Industry qualifications, working towards or a keen interest in working towards
