An Asset Co-Coordinator at Heathrow is a pivotal position within the Engineering Team, the main purpose being to assist the development of the operational asset strategy and embed it into the delivery’s team operational plans. This strategy is based on accurate data and reflects on the optimal maintenance plans. This role is accountable for the data used in this strategy, ensuring it is in place, reviewed regularly and understood by wider teams.

The strategy made, which is promoted by the Asset Co-Ordinator, will be shared with the Engineering and Asset Management teams to shape and inform future investments of asset bases. This role is critical to ensure that the Engineering team has an effective asset base cable of delivering targets of costs, performance, risk, opportunity, realisation, compliance, health and safety and environment.

This role will provide the link between the needs of the delivery function’s objectives and adopting a risk-based approach to future investments in the asset base, to meet with business objectives.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of asset data. Identify gaps in understanding and develop plans to address them.
- Evaluate asset performance against operational requirements and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct thorough reviews of future assets.
- Partner with the wider Engineering Team, to assess whole life costs of assets, ensure asset quality and manage risks.
- Lead effective engagement with the Development team to ensure alignment of asset plans with overall business objectives.
- Manage a diverse range of assets within the business unit's remit, including first-of-type assets, to ensure effective operation and maintenance.
- Collaborative working approach and influencing skills.
- Strong perception of business improvement, linking with commercial performance and improving efficiency.
- Strong Microsoft Skills (Intermediate Excel level)

- Broad knowledge of assets, systems and improvement, in relation to airport sector.
- A comprehension of a technical environment.
