**Electrical Engineer**

**Main Tasks**:

- Ensure maintenance activities are consistent with planned output.
- Lead immediate countermeasure for production continuation in case of unplanned events.
- Immediate escalation of issues impacting production to Production Manager or delegate.
- Lead efficiency workshops to improve productivity & reduce operating costs.
- Support make or buy projects - business case to solution.
- Involvement in productivity workshops to improve efficiency & reduce costs.
- Support appropriate cost-down projects for all purchased parts and services.

Product:

- Top level maintenance of all machinery.
- Involvement in countermeasures & corrective actions for all plant and equipment defects.
- Ensure maintenance output is respecting all quality & technical requirements.
- Management of maintenance task board. Organise and prioritise in accordance with production requirements.
- Work to the defined TPM programme.
- Direct responsibility for execution of maintenance activities.
- Participate in production daily start-up & closure activities.
- Work additional hours where required and agreed with management.
- Work during production shutdown periods.
- Assist with projects for new and existing equipment and repairs.
- Work to a predefined repairs and maintenance budget.
- Involvement in 5S workshops & audit of current zones.
- Cleaning & top level maintenance of all machinery.
- Fork lift truck & crane operation (as required).
- Support all other business requirements as & when needed.
- Always support the company 4C philosophy.
- Always support the company Continuous Improvement program.
- Make suggestions for improvement & help implement agreed actions.
- Participate in improvement projects according to business requirements.
- Analysis and improvement investments according to business objectives.
- Support lead time reduction activities to decrease through-put time.
- Support company total productive maintenance (TPM) program.
- Execute company TPM program to ensure compliance against all machine requirement standards.

**Skills**:

- Full knowledge of all aspects of electrical engineering.
- Sound knowledge of Heavy engineering practices.
- Sound knowledge of Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read drawings & technical documentation.
- Attention to detail.
- Fork lift truck & crane operating license.
- Operate hand tools and machine tools.
- Use of measuring equipment
