Outwood Academy Normanby, Middlesbrough, has an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and inspiring Geography specialist with exceptional communication and management skills to lead our dedicated and well-qualified team.

We are seeking a Head of Geography with the drive, imagination and energy to deliver excellence. At Outwood Academy Normanby all students study both history in years 7, 8 and 9, with all students choosing at least one humanity to study at GCSE.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead our supportive geography department, who have developed an exciting, innovative curriculum from Year 7 to Year 9 which builds key geographical knowledge, concepts and skills preparing students well for their GCSE studies and life beyond the academy. At GCSE we study AQA Geography.

An excellent knowledge and understanding of geography is essential. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘Students First’.
