Grounds Maintenance Worker

The Grounds Maintenance Team works to maintain the land owned by Connexus; this includes the care of open spaces, communal areas, trees, shrub beds, hedges, car parking areas and garage sites. The team strives to provide a pleasant and safe environment for both our tenants and the community.

We are looking for someone who:

- Holds a valid driving licence
- Has experience in carrying out grass cutting, hedge trimming, shrub pruning, litter picking & weed control
- Has the ability to demonstrate both knowledge and experience of both the use and maintenance of mechanically driven equipment
- Has experience of using a ride on mower
- Has horticultural knowledge
- Is reliable, self-motivated and has a flexible attitude
- Has excellent customer service attributes and behaviours, enhancing the customer’s experience

Working Hours / Pattern / Salary are (averages out at 37 hours per week):

- 35 x Weeks Summer Season - hours 07:30 - 16:30 (42.5 hours p/w), worked over a five-day week between March and October
- 17 x Weeks Winter Season - hours 07:30 - 14:30 (26 hours p/w), worked over a four-day week between November and February
- Salary is paid as 12 x equal payments over a 12-month period, rolling year
