Senior Lecturer

**UE09: £54,949.00 - £61,823.00 Per Annum.**

**College of Medicine & Veterinary Medicine / Deanery of Clinical Sciences / Centre for Cardiovascular Sciences.**

**Open Ended Contract - Permanent; Full Time - 35 Hours Per Week.**

**The Opportunity**:
To inspire and execute cutting-edge research in diabetes-associated vascular dysfunction through leadership and collaboration and to train the next generation of scientists. To impart knowledge through teaching, by facilitating student learning, and through public engagement and publications.

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- A PhD in the appropriate discipline.
- An established outstanding international research reputation in diabetes-associated vascular biology, with a track record of publications in leading peer-reviewed international journals commensurate to the level of the post and demonstrated ability to secure substantial research funding
- Experience of teaching and supervision at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level with a sound knowledge of current teaching and learning methods in higher education.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in a range of contexts (e.g. teaching, research presentations and publications, representation and advocacy for the discipline).
