An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Greenkeeper to join our dedicated team at Murrayshall Country Estate. Murrayshall is an 18 hole championship standard golf course and is supported by the 10 hole Lynedoch course, with flood light driving range.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Be passionate about their role and association with the Estate.
- To maintain the courses, practice facilities and surrounding estate to the highest standards.
- To carry out daily and weekly work programmes set by the Head Greenkeeper.
- To follow all safe working practices ensuring the safety of all golfers, staff and contractors.
- To regularly assess play and traffic areas on the course: pedestrian and vehicle access routes and reporting any areas of concern.
- To communicate effectively and keep accurate records.
- Experience of working on parkland golf courses.
- To undertake daily turf maintenance tasks.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Health & Safety procedures associated with golf course equipment.

**Person Specification**

**Essential**
- SVQ Level 2 Greenkeeping / Sportsturf maintenance or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a golf course environment.
- A good knowledge of golf course maintenance practices.
- Practical skills for driving and operating machinery.
- The ability to work well as part of a team and individually.
- Excellent time keeping and communication skills.
- Full driving licence.
- Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to adapt to change and have a flexible approach to working hours, including weekends.
- A desire to further continue their own personal development.

**Desirable**
- Construction experience.
- Chainsaw certificate.
- Pesticide spraying licence PA1, PA2 PA6.

The hours of work for our Greenkeeping team are Mon-Fri from 6.00am to 3.00 pm in the summer and 7.30am to 2.30pm in the winter. With weekend shifts on a rota basis.
