Playground Workshop Assistant/ Labourer

Active Garden Ltd is a well-established playground supply company, supplying and installing play equipment and safer surfacing throughout the UK.

We are currently seeking a workshop assistant/general operative for a varied role.

Mainly workshop based, cutting and preparing timber products. The role also includes other duties such as stock control, delivery of goods, and to assist with installations as required throughout the UK. (accommodation will be provided when staying overnight)

Winter estate maintenance and landscaping.

Responsibilities;
- Accurate cutting of timber to cutting lists.
- Packing and preparing of orders for dispatch in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.
- Cutting and assembly of bespoke timber products for installation.
- Receiving, checking and storing of inventory in designated location.
- Maintaining/Taking accurate stock control.
- Keeping workshop/store tidy and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Delivering goods to customers nationally (occasional).
- Prepared to assist on Playground installations as required including surfacing projects throughout the UK.
- Cleaning of tools and equipment to maintain good working order.
- Winter duties might envolve estate maintenance and landscaping jobs.
- Full time Commitment.
- Must be able to work alone and as part of a team.
- Experience of working alone and maintaining self-discipline.
- Able to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work in a physical role lifting weight.
- Experience using various hand and power tools.
- Experience in landscaping and working outdoors is desirable.
- Basic carpentry skills desirable.
- NEEDS DRIVING LICENSE

Qualifications;
- **Full Clean UK driving License** - **Required**:

- Forklift License (could be trained)
- CSCS card (could be trained)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £12.00-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 38 per week
