**CHILDREN'S RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKER / SENIOR SUPPORT WORKER**

**We have openings for Children's Residential Support Worker and Senior Support Worker positions in our Children's Residential Unit in Sheffield**

**If you have experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Nursery Assistant or have worked in the NHS, Health Care or in Social Care this position would be well suited to you.**

**OR**

**If you are looking for a change in career, we can offer excellent opportunities and full training would be given**

**Location**:Sheffield**

**Job Types**:Full-Time, Part-Time and Zero Hours (the role involves shift work, including working at night, sleep-ins, weekends and bank holidays)**

**Salary**:£8.91 - £11.50 per hour (dependent on training and experience).**

Building on this, we are seeking to appoint experienced and motivated Residential Support Workers / Senior Support Workers who are positive role models and are passionate about creating a culture of care that focuses on the achievements and outcomes for the children we care for.

**The Role**:

- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide personalised care packages for children aged 12-17.
- Safeguard children through continued assessment, planning and reviews.
- Engage and build professional relationships with children
- Support children to reach their full potential
- Support and be involved in the home's weekly activities
- Work collaboratively with community resources and advocate for children where necessary
- Having a Level 3 Children Residential Childcare is desirable. _However, this is not essential as full training _will be provided for successful applicants._
- Having experience working with children is beneficial. _However, we welcome applicants that we feel would have the right aptitude, and life skills to work with children._
- Have a genuine desire to support others to improve their lives
- Promote the identity and self esteem of the children within our care
- Good Literacy and communication skills
- Patience and empathy towards some of the issues and challenges are faced by children
- Able to deal with emotional and behavioural difficulties and stay calm under pressure.
- Able to work flexibly, including bank holidays, evenings and weekends
