Oakbourne Construction Resource Ltd:
Our client is looking to recruit an experienced 'Site Supervisor' for various locations in and around the Manchester Area. This is a temporary contract with on going secured schemes and further opportunities when they arise in other locations where contracts will be extended.

**THE ROLE**

You will be leading multiple teams of operatives and be at the forefront of onsite delivery. You will be required to supervise quality, safety & manage on site progress. Showing a high level of quality in your work along with a high level of understanding of working upon high-speed roads, traffic signs, highway lighting and/or highway technology, associated civils works.

**Highways Experience preferred but Not Essential.**

The role will require you to be based on site for works carried out.

**A typical week might involve**
- On site liaison with clients including assisting with the setting out where needed
- Planning the work for the team and co-ordinate the supply of general civils materials including concrete, ducting & chambers on a weekly basis
- Attending onsite safety briefings with the client when requested
- Attend weekly site programming meetings with the client
- Completion of record sheets, site diaries & Check Safe app
- Stage 2 risk assessments
- General civils works including Working at height, Lantern installation, Sign erection, Duct laying, Reinstatement, Cabling
- Excavation by mechanical means and/or lifting operations via a HIAB or grab wagon
- Operating heavy plant or wagons
- Trail holes/hand excavation if required
- Building of cabinet/feeder pillar sites
- Construction of chambers to highway & utility specifications
- Identifying risks and problems on site with the ability to provide pro-active solution’s
- Assisting the senior operations team with the delivery of schemes including assisting with the preparation of programmes & the supply of materials

- Happy working collaboratively with various teams in the delivery of the works
- Able to undertake manual work including manual trenching cable laying etc
- Comfortable working night shifts and away from home if required
- Committed to all installations being completed to the correct standard, delivered on time and to budget
- Prepared to positively participate in all training relevant to your role
- Committed to a high level of health and safety as per company policies/procedures
- Committed to ensuring all works are completed as per HSEQ policies and procedure and to reporting any HSEQ issues to supervisor and via Eyes and Ears App
- Experienced as a Lead Operative
- Able to work as part of a team with good communication skills
- HERS registered / a CSCS Card Holder
- SSSTS or NRSWA qualified supervisor
- SMSTS /Slinger Signaller /NRSWA / PAF / CPCS 360 excavator above and below 10t / HGV Class 1 or 2 license / ALLMI or CPCS lifting / Class 1 or 2 HGV license are all desirable
