Reliability Test Engineer

With a mission is to save 100,000 lives and save health care providers $1.5B, with several major projects underway to develop disease screening and diagnostics based on detection of volatile metabolic products on breath. We are currently looking for a SeniorTest & Reliability Engineer to join our team in Cambridge, UK. The team are developing a range of highly innovative, ground breaking products for the consumer healthcare market. We are looking for a dynamic, hard working, hands-on engineer, with good communicationskills, attention to detail, and an eye for process, to lead the test & reliability for our consumer healthcare products.

**Responsibilities**
- Design, develop, and implement a reliability test process, with the ability to convert a URS, PRS and Engineering specification into a V&V plan
- Identify and execute Robust Design tasks (e.g. design & process FMEAs)
- Develop reliability qualification plans, to meet the project needs, providing status update to the project manager
- Identify bespoke test jig / fixtures to enable testing
- Conduct in depth analysis of reliability test failures, providing solutions
- Should be able to develop a schedule for testing to be carried out. Actively manage internal resource and external test houses to ensure testing is completed as planned (and to the highest standard)

**Requirements**:
**Experience and Skills**:

- Honours degree or equivalent, preferably Electronic, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or Physics
- Electro-mechanical Systems Reliability Engineering experience (Hardware, and Software/Firmware)
- Extensive experience in a product development / manufacturing environment, preferably complex, fast moving, high-tech
- Experience of consumer healthcare reliability standards, and approaches is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of reliability, environmental and life time testing
- Multi-skilled, capable of solving wide-ranging technical problems working alongside the technical teams,
- Experience of Identifying, managing, and collaborating with test houses
- Reliability Engineering projects, Quality Systems, six-sigma would be advantageous including FMEA and Failure Analysis

Needs to be able to work with design teams to identify any bespoke test requirements such as fixtures. Should be able to create experimental test set-ups for the purpose of carrying out testing of products as defined in the V&V planned
