**The largest pay-to-enter visitor attraction in the Southwest, welcoming over 550,000 visitors per year is seeking a part-time Visitor Services Manager to join their team based in Westonbirt, Tetbury.**Reporting to the Visitor Operations manager in a team of 3, You will play a key role in the delivery of projects to improve the visitor experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a strong interest in nature, environment and sustainability and looking to continue the legacy of perhaps the most important and widely known arboretum in the UK for future generations.
This role will cover 80% of a full-time position (typically 30hrs) and hours will be covered over a 2-week rota which includes weekends.
**Key Work Areas of the Visitor Services Manager**:

- Work closely with the Visitor Experience Manager to support team management of staff and volunteers, monitor site developments and health and safety to deliver excellent customer experience.
- Prepare and implement plans to deliver high-quality visitor experience operations through strategic, operational and seasonal planning.
- Prepare, monitor and review the recreation budget and resources needed to deliver work programmes.
- Manage contracts and contractors effectively ensuring compliance with policy and procedures.
- Ensure fully effective and efficient maintenance and operation of all visitor facilities including play structures, pedestrian and vehicle barriers, Welcome Building, paths, toilets, Treetop Walkway and car parks.
- Respond to and resolve visitor complaints in person and in writing
- Work closely with your colleagues to foster strong working relationships. Support conversion of visitors to members as well as the broader supporter journey that includes volunteering and giving.

**Useful Experience for the Visitor Services Manager**:

- Experience of managing a busy visitor attraction in the heritage and/or environment sector.
- Experience in the management of budgets, contracts, contractors and partnership businesses.
- Experience of people management of either staff or volunteers
- Competent user of PC and Microsoft Office365 software including Teams, Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Full driving licence

Standard working hours will be 8.30am-5pm, 30 hours per week over 7 days.
Full-time equivalent salary of £27,235
