Night Porter

**The Opportunity**

We are seeking a full-time Night Porter to join our small but friendly team. Working hours are 5 nights per week working 11pm - 7.00am, working 2 out of every 4 weekends on a 4 week cycle.

**Who we are?**

The Best Western Signature Collection, Southcrest Manor Hotel, is a 63-bedroom hotel set in its own extensive private grounds in Redditch, with excellent road links to the M42, M40 and M5. The hotel offers a number of meeting facilities with the largest having a capacity of 120, a Laura Ashley tearoom, Laura Ashley designed restaurant and bar and a small spa with Elemis treatment areas.

**About The Role**

The Night Porter is responsible for the smooth operation of the hotel overnight, including a range of varied tasks including dealing with guests, room set ups, bar service, cleaning and reception duties. Training will be provided.

You will work a 40 hours per week, working 5 days a week, on a 4 week rolling rota cycle, working 2 out of every 4 weekends. There is an opportunity to work more hours to cover holidays plus additional shifts during the day time in other departments.

Range of tasks include:

- Guest Check-in and check-out, answer phones
- Serve as a point of contact for guests
- Clean public areas
- Serve food and drink
- Set, lay-up and clean rooms to company standards and guest requirements.
- Overall security of persons and property.
- Resolve any issues that arise
- Compile adequate handover to other team members
- Complete night checklists
- Attend appropriate training courses, when required

**Please note due regulations surrounding the serving of alcohol applicants must be over 18. This role is not a live in position.**
