Head of Central Purchasing (12 Month FTC Mat Cover)

Axon Moore have an urgent requirement for an experienced Head of Purchasing to work for a Market Leading business based in Denton.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Day to day running of the central purchasing department, supported by the commercial manager and with 2 direct reports.
- Ensuring the current product range is ordered with the current small supplier base as required to hit minimum holding quantities.
- Work with the stock forecast model on spend and £ stock holdings.
- One off overseas orders in line with the ordering schedule.
- Work with the Purchase Ledger supervisor to resolve any invoice queries.
- Intercompany orders and transfers.
- Overseeing ad hoc purchases
- Ad hoc reporting and support as required.

**Key Requirements**:

- Computer literate, ideally with experience on Sage200 (not essential), proficient excel user.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role or within an purchasing/commercial department
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Desire to develop as the business grows
- Demonstrates the company values, Teamwork, Trust, Integrity and Hard Work.
