Infrastructure Security Engineer

**Infrastructure Security Engineer - Networks, Windows, Linux, Cyber, Security, £40,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience) + bonus + great benefits, Hertfordshire**

The type of individual we are seeking to speak with will probably have a strong work record in one of the following: systems administrator, infrastructure engineer, infrastructure analyst, support engineer or closely related so please do not let job titlesput you off.
Typical technologies we are looking for include: Linux in particular Red Hat 8, sound knowledge of networking and within this DNS (domain name server), routers, firewalls, switches, DHCP (dynamic host configuration protocol), troubleshooting, network monitoring,disaster recovery, patching, load balancing, VLAN (virtual local area network), third line support, testing and overall infrastructure capabilities.
Confident in the practice of cyber security principles which consists of - identifying cyber security risks, measures to reduce this, security incidents and how to cover from such events.
Firm grasp on cyber vector attacks - malware, encryption, DDos (distributed denial of service) and phishing. We are not looking for an out and out cyber security expert but someone that has been involved with the above areas from an infrastructure perspective.
We would expect you to be comfortable with databases please, finally others technologies that we ask you are naturally skilled with are - Microsoft Exchange, Wintel, Windows Server, Active Directory, SCCOM (system center operations manager), MECM (MicrosoftSystem Center Configuration Manager).
Working knowledge of cloud computing with AWS (amazon web services) or Microsoft Azure would be beneficial but not essential.
It is essential you can undergo DV clearance - please consider this before applying.
