£600-700 per day Outside IR35
Remote with monthly visits to Bristol HQ
Our exclusive client, a rapidly expanding disruptive startup in the Aerospace sector is urgently looking to secure the services of an experienced Chief Engineer on a Contract basis for initially 5 months, with very likely extensions beyond.
To support our clients ambitious Digital programme, the business requires the services of a Chief Architect to support the Digital team in their programme delivery.
The key roles and responsibilities of this service are identified below, it is expected this could be delivered through a
single named individual or as a shared responsibility between two individuals.
Project Scope:
Workstream A: Define and Develop Toolset Architecture
- Lead, with the support of businesses partners, the definition of the overall architecture.
- Lead the integration of PLM, ERP, MES and other aligned toolsets.
- Ensure the architecture provides the potential for data exploitation and integration across the enterprise.
Workstream B: Exploitation of Modeling and Simulation Strategy
- In collaboration with the businesses Lead Modeling and Simulation Engineer, ensure integration of the businesses M&S toolsets and aligned systems (eg CAPES).
- Integration of Modeling and Simulation processes and data to achieve department aims.
Workstream C: Define High Level Cloud Strategy
- Define a long term Cloud Strategy, incorporating MOD security and accreditation best practice.
Workstream D: Innovation
- Identify opportunities for innovation and novel approaches that support the delivery of the department principles.
Workstream E: Implementation
- Support the instantiation of the programme, ensuring that the implementation and infrastructure will deliver the architecture and, ultimately, the department aims.
Experience required:

- ERP, PLM or other enterprise system implementation
- Cloud architectures
- Developing data architectures
- Aerospace/Defense experience
