Are you looking to join a dynamic company and help take it to the next level? If so, we could be the company for you Designer Workshop makes high end bespoke upholstered furniture, specialising in antique restoration. We work with interior designers and members of the public using top end fabrics to bring furniture to life.
We are now on the hunt for an Administrative Assistant to help manage the workflow and ensure the business is running as efficiently as possible. To this end, we are looking for someone with the following skills:
- General administration experience
- Extensive experience of working with spreadsheets
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritise effectively
- Good numeracy and book keeping skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- Good computer skills
- Communicates in a clear concise and professional manner
- High attention to detail
- Able to work in a team and encourage a supportive atmosphere
- Passionate about providing the best customer service
- Always maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Be honest and open with both customers and colleagues at all times
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, focusing on personal achievement and results
Some of your responsibilities will be (but not limited to) the following:
- Organising job sheets
- Placing purchase orders with our suppliers
- Building upon and improving our systems and processes
- Tracking orders
- Updating our social media pages / photographing finished pieces
- Using Xero (previous experience beneficial but not essential as training will be provided) to process orders and invoice out jobs, inputting data
- Working with the Operations Manager to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly and on time
- Undertaking credit control duties
- Providing quotes to clients
- Using spreadsheets to work out costings
- Managing staff holidays / undertake some HR roles
- Organise the Managing Director’s meetings / calender

Part-time hours: 20 per week
**Salary**: £12.00-£15.00 per hour
