Job Introduction
We currently have a permanent opportunity for a **Animal Welfare Officer** to join our team in **Willand, Devon.**
- The rate of pay is **£14.44 per hour**:

- Working hours are **Week 1: 4.30am - 1pm (Mon-Sat). Week 2: 3pm - 11.45pm (Mon-Fri)**

Main Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:

- Monitoring deliveries of live birds, ensuring steady supply is maintained
- Checking welfare of birds as they arrive
- Reporting any welfare issues as necessary
- Monitoring and checking work on the hanging stand
- Assisting the Senior Animal Welfare Manager in maintaining training and assessments for COC applicants

Full training will be given for all aspects of the role.

As our ideal Animal Welfare Officer you will have:

- Attention to detail
- Ability to use excel and word on computer
- You'll be a good communicator and be willing to learn and attend required courses for this role (unless already qualified)

**Desirable Qualifications/Certificates**
- A full certificate of Competence in Welfare of Animals at Time of Killing (Desirable, not essential)
- A Poultry Welfare Officer certificate (Desirable, not essential)

Full training will be given for all aspects of the role
