As a SHEs Advisor for Cadent, you will be providing additional support to the team whilst delivering work efficiently, with expertise and precision within the agreed process procedure and timescales.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Sharing, promoting and facilitating / implement technical and procedural best practice
- Support / advise / deliver and where required manage SHEs, performance and quality within one of the operations processes of Emergency Response and Repair and Energy Operations
- Engender and operate in a culture of zero tolerance of accidents and self-inflicted incidents
- Ensuring operational activities across Networks are being correctly managed and delivered in accordance with Cadent policies and the relevant safety management systems
- Ensuring technical aspects of Operational activities are executed in line with Cadent policies and industry guidance
- Ensuring that all parties working on Cadent assets are operating within the policy boundaries in terms of technical and safety requirements (e.g., SW1, T/PR/ML4, SHE/80) and make suggestions in the definition of engineering, safety, and data policies
- Supporting relevant safety investigations and providing specialist advice
- Contributing to the process of sharing initiatives and innovation across Cadent and its partners to optimise performance across all Cadent projects

**Skills and Experience**:
**Qualifications**
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- HNC or equivalent
- Safety qualification NEBOSH or equivalent

**Practical Experience**
- Good understanding of relevant SHEs legislation, associated codes of practice and other guidance
- Good knowledge of Cadent’s policies, procedures, and other supporting documentation
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and tools
- Good communication skills, verbal and written
- Coaching, influencing skills
