An opportunity has arisen for a hardworking individual to join Economy Cabins, Scotland’s leading independent provider of refurbished & new portable accommodation as well as modular buildings and shipping containers. as a **Painter / Portable Cabin Fitter.**

Based in Motherwell, you will be part of our refurbishment team fitting out a diverse range of temporary buildings to the highest standards. You must be well-organised and strongly focused on maintaining high standards of preparation and finish. You will take instruction from your line manager. You will have a solid background and have a proficient knowledge your trade.

As part of your daily duties, you will carry out the following:

- Prepare cabins externally for paint
- Prepare flat & corrugated metal roofs for Rhino Roof PU weather proofing treatment.
- Prepare cabins internally for paint
- Brush, roller and spray painting used

**In addition,** you will also be required to help colleagues with other areas of cabin transformation.
- So also being flexible and dexterous in other skill is critical to the role_.

- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Non coded Welding/fabrication
- Other fitting out/refurbishment activities when required

**About You - **What you will need to bring to the role from day one:

- Proficient Rudimental **Painter & Decorating** skills are required to prepare our portable accommodation units for sale.
- Able to work as part of a Team & enthusiastically supporting colleagues
- Flexible and self-motivated, you’ll be keen to embrace new training opportunities, which may on occasion require staying away from home
- Customer-Focused with a commitment to delivering an excellent service
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to ensure all works are completed to a high standard within a tight timescale

- CSCS card for working on site
- Slinger / signaler qualification or previous experience
- Lift supervisor qualification or previous qualification
- Welding and fabrication qualification
- Experience of working at heights
- Forklift / telehandler license
- Vinyl floor covering welding / installation experience
- Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, adjusting as necessary due to weather, supply delivery, and personnel
- Work to schedules in accordance with the requirements of the business
- Emphasis on the safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment including training on safety gear, helmets, and procedures
- Adhere to quality standards
- Monitor and manage project material

- Strong operational experience related to trade/role
- Excellent all-round construction process understanding
- Good level of numeracy/literacy as well as strong problem-solving abilities
- Full UK driving license

- Ensure compliance with all legislation, codes of practice, Industry guidelines and/or Company Procedures/Policies relating to Health and Safety, inclusive of COSHH.

- Positively engage in ensuring safe methods of works are in place and are followed.
