Bairds Malt Limited produces malt for some of the leading global distillers and brewers. We use the finest quality barley to produce our malt products and we intake barley during our busy harvest period which runs from July to early October. We are looking for motivated, reliable Barley Intake assistants and Utility assistants to join our team during this time.

Key tasks for Barley Intake Assistants include:

- Computerised checks and physical testing of barley lorry loads using laboratory machines
- Recording results to ensure smooth operation of product into site
- Operation of weighbridge computer system to weigh lorry loads in and out of site
- General support to intake operations team

Key tasks for Utility Assistants include:

- Operating the driers on site to ensure wet barley is dried and stored correctly including sample management
- Cleaning and maintenance tasks as required
- General support to intake operations team

Full training will be given for all roles

Hours will vary by role and weekend work will also be required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 6-12 weeks

**Salary**: £11.50-£12.50 per hour
