**JOB SUMMARY**:
The market operative role is an onsite, facilities management role. Responsibilities include supporting Market Management and traders with day-to-day tasks whilst delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.

**The Role**:The Market Operative will provide key operational support to the Market Officer in leading the site to achieve the overall business goals. The role will be accountable for the facilities management services at site as well as supporting market traders where necessary.

Role responsibilities will include:

- Maintaining a highly visible presence through building management
- Performing the role of Market Cleaner - clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc as defined in the Market Cleaner Job Description)
- Upholding the standards of cleanliness throughout the site, including the procurement of supplies to stock and maintain supply rooms
- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities; Risk Management; Accident Reporting, Investigation, Daily checks, COSHH recording and basic operational H&S management including Fire Safety
- Contain hazards and complete minor repairs, notifying management of occurring deficiencies or needs for contracted repairs
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Co-operate with the rest of the staff
- Reactive and proactive customer management
- Promoting positive, efficient, and productive relationships with traders

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
