Job Description: Trainee Bricklayer

As a Trainee Bricklayer, you will be responsible for learning and assisting in the construction and repair of brickwork structures. Your primary role will be to work alongside experienced bricklayers, gaining hands-on experience and developing the necessary skills to become a qualified bricklayer.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the preparation of materials, such as bricks, mortar, and tools, for bricklaying projects.

2. Learn to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints to understand project requirements.

3. Assist in the layout and measurement of brickwork, ensuring accuracy and alignment.

5. Aid in the construction and repair of walls, partitions, arches, and other brickwork structures, under the guidance of experienced bricklayers.

6. Gain proficiency in using various hand and power tools, such as trowels, hammers, levels, and saws.

7. Assist in the installation of insulation materials and reinforcement within brickwork, as needed.

8. Learn to cut and shape bricks to fit specific designs or patterns.

9. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring the proper storage and care of tools and equipment.

10. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to promote a safe working environment.

**Salary**: £7.00-£10.42 per hour

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Neath: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Plastering: 1 year (preferred)
- Bricklaying: 1 year (preferred)
- Masonry: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- CSCS (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)

Work Location: In person
