**Role**

This role will carry out a range of duties, including client liaison, planning and delivery of project briefs, and the creation of high-quality video, audio, photography and other multimedia assets.

The role requires a conceptual understanding of digital media, the ability to make timely decisions about how activities will be performed, and an acute ability to deliver compelling content.

The post-holder will need a working understanding of operating video, photography and lighting technologies as well as industry standard software in order to create content in both team and individual production and post-production situations.

The post-holder will be responsible for the delivery of institution-wide marketing and recruitment multimedia content to support work to meet recruitment targets.

The role will be working closely with colleagues across the Marketing and Communications directorate, as well as colleagues from across the university.

The role will liaise with external suppliers as well and the in-house team to produce high-quality collateral.

This role is full time working 37 hours a week, and you will be required to work on campus for the full working week.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Lead on and support colleagues in the delivery of high-quality video and photography, as well as other multimedia assets such as innovative digital content.
- Play a key role in supporting De Montfort University’s marketing and student recruitment activities.
- Scope, develop and produce content to be published both in print and across DMU’s digital platforms and channels, including social media.
- Be a knowledge expert in the production of content which meets the needs of our target audiences - including potential students, our partners, and end-users of the university’s digital platforms and channels.
- Work closely with faculty and departmental colleagues to bring their digital campaigns and ambitions to life.
- Deliver a consistent, reliable, focused and effective service to all internal clients, and follow brand, content, and technical guidelines and style guides.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of web and digital team’s strategies and roadmap, ensuring innovation and incremental improvements are at their core.
- Contribute to the implementation of effective project management principles - enabling content to be delivered in timely, scalable, and highly effective manner.
- Maintain a high level of expertise and skill in content creation and evaluation.
- Work as part of a cross-functional team, where expertise are built and shared, projects are delivered collaboratively, and the effectiveness of the team is constantly enhanced.
- Create and deliver content creation proposals, plans and timelines - ensuring clients remain informed throughout the process, and are able to easily monitor progress.
- Generate reports and analysis of photography and video assets used by other higher education institutions as well as other commercial brands and organisations.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with DMU colleagues, ensuring both communication and delivery are seamless, with opportunities, risks and dependencies identified.
- Input into faculty marketing and recruitment plans as required.
- Maintain technical and editorial guidelines and style guides throughout all projects and deliverables.
- Perform any other duties commensurate with the job grade as reasonably required from time to time.

**Skills and experience**
- Computer literacy, including competency in word processing (e.g Microsoft Word) and familiarity with the rest of the Microsoft suite of software (especially Excel and Outlook), as well as diary management software and Google Analytics
