Based in Wakefield, reporting to the Marketing Manager, this role is the ideal opportunity for an ambitious Social Media specialist to prove your abilities in our vibrant creative industry. Part of a real team effort, your ability to create engaging content and achieve KPIs across key platforms work will be truly noticed and valued.

WHAT ABOUT YOU?

We’re looking for a confident, creative, commercial social media specialist to grow our social media performance.

You’ll plan content and activity in-line with our ecommerce trading plan, working closely with ecommerce colleagues to engage existing followers and attract relevant new audiences to Sirdar products.

Adopting a Sirdar visual brand style and tone of voice you’ll create content that entertains our current and target audiences and contributes to achieving our mission and commercial goals. You’ll also identify and engage with knit and crochet influencers who are aligned with our brand to extend our reach.

You’ll assist with filming, editing and posting video in appropriate formats and you’ll have the confidence and vibrant personality to host Instagram lives with our make along designers. You’ll also collaborate on content and social events with ecommerce partners.

Excellent communication will ensure great on-brand content, credible and authentic interaction with our knit and crochet community and clear reporting of KPIs as part of our digital team.

You will have
- Experience in growing social media following, especially Instagram and Facebook
- Demonstrable visual storytelling and copy-writing skills to drive engagement
- Excellent numeracy and analytical skills to review and report social performance
- Have experience with photography, video editing and asset creation
